Why does the blood drain from their faces when "subpoena power"
is mentioned? The only person more concerned with the ramifications of "subpoena power" than the Republicans is Tony Soprano. Why are they using it as a rallying point with their base? What are they so afraid of?

2. Why? For the same reason Dracula would be afraid of anyone with
a hammer and a wooden stake.

5. In this case, the truth
is not going to set them free, but expose them as crooks and lock them up.....

8. Because "they" have been stealing elections and "they" know it.

Ohio did suddenly change over million votes and go for Bush.
Alaska still will not come up with the data from the 04 election.
In Indiana 8 counties flipped the vote for President to a third
party person if you voted a straight dem party ticket.
In Florida 2000 one diebold machine gave Al Gore a negative
16,000 votes because of a faulty memory chip?
In Georgia why did Max Cleland go from 8 points up to loosing by
6 points?

10. Personally, I would love to subpoena the cabal in Ohio who locked
themselves in a room and said there was a terror alert. Remember that one?

13. Mathews and Russert always whip out this phrase and of course
they usually combine it with "pay-back". So their chant is Dems- subpoena power - payback. If their guest is a Republican they usually blanch and go speechless (the horror, the horror). If the guest is a Democrat they earnestly deny any craven desire for payback (as in Clinton).

I have no desire for payback to take any revenge whatsoever for the Republicans crass behavior during the Clinton impeachment. The American public was smart enough to see through all the grandstanding on their own. But, I absolutely desire a full and complete investigation of a truly criminal and corrupt administration. I do want justice administered so that we can be spared the like of this again for at least another lifetime. So, no to "payback", no to "revenge", yes to "rule of law" yes to "the Constitution" yes to "checks and balances".
