9. First there was AT&T which the Gov broke up and then there
were 5 or 6 phone companies that came from the break up of the "monopoly." The way I understand it, recently, when SBC bought AT&T they took back the AT&T name. I don't know for certain the answer to your question; however, I would guess that YES SBC was giving out information to Big Brother because basically, AT&T and SBC are/were/have been one and the same. Just a guess.

4. Cancel service. Get broadband and sign up for Vonage.
That will get their attention more than any letter writing.

11. Skype does this, I think. Vonage at least affords the possibility.
Standard landline phone communication can be scrambled, but not without expensive equipment. Digital phone, I suspect, will be hacked and modified by patriotic hackers to allow for key-encryption possibilities.

5. Yesterday, I dropped my AT&T long distance service...I will use my cell
phone or a phone card from now on to place long distance calls since I don't make that many of them anyway.

Now, I am going to figure out how to drop Verizon and yet be able to keep my internet connection.

7. Didn't we break up Ma Bell in the 80's
Break them down again, and this time into tiny parcels. Once the stench of Boosh is cleaned out lets start on Wall St, they are just as guilty.
(no I am not a Marxist, but I want these coroporations who sleep and conspire with the enemies of the Constitution, punished too)

-----------------------

I demand that you stop providing the National Security Agency access to my calling records. The NSA wiretapping program is illegal and the collection of data from AT&T is a violation of my rights under the 4th amendment of the United States Constitution.

Warrantless access to my phone records by the NSA is a breach of your privacy policy and is probably illegal.

I demand you cease immediately. I also want record of when you released my phone records to the NSA for for what period of time.

I never authorized this activity. Failure to comply with my requests will result in legal actions.
