Someone here accused me of that a couple days ago, and I'm not familiar with the terminology of what it means.

Especially if they post things that some people find controversial. We tend to get alot of Freeper trolls here though, and most of them are caught when their post count is very low, so people naturally tend to be a little suspicious.

It is against the rules to accuse a poster of being a Freeper, so you should hit "alert" if it happens.

Its always great to have new participants in the threads here. However, sometimes the rhetoric escalates, and you may need to don your new flame-retardant gear! The term 'freeper' is used for someone who frequents the website Free Republic. Its a far right-wing discussion site.
There are those who may look skeptically at those with low post counts, and wonder if 'freepers' are trolling over here (you'd be surprised at how often it happens) Just keep plugging away, and keep posting. The more interaction you have, and the more you add your opinions or thoughts to the discussions, the more people will get to know you, and that will go away. You will find a lot of wonderful people here, who know a lot, and are willing to share their vast knowledge. I have made many new friends, and learned way more than I ever imagined. It's really a pretty funny website. I encourage viewing it on a regular basis, to see what kind of absolute wingnuttery we're up against. There's a minority there who don't go along with the religious right majority, which causes frequent internecine warfare whenever there is a thread there related to religion. Even evolution gets things going over there.

Of course, we have our socialist fringe here, which no doubt the right uses as an example of what goes on here. :eyes:

But the socialist fringe here really is a fringe, whereas the religious right is the defining center over there.
