Good News Post on Iraq #1
I have decided to join the President's campaign and point out the good things in Iraq. I will try to do this everyday.

Today's Piece of Good News:

I have heard that April was a great month for morticians and coffin makers in Iraq. Undertakers and Coffin Makers continue to be two of the most lucrative professions in the country.

This is your Good News Post from Iraq for today.

1. You'd be better off having a web site and linking to it every day.
That way you would have all the good news in one place and we could all peruse it at our leisure any time. It's nice to see someone with some gumption to try to make the world a better place. I do hope that you don't follow the MSM example and just take the gov't word for what is going on there. I hope you're doing your own research so that all this good news is real and not just gov't propaganda.

2. The real problem is
people are so trained in respecting authority. So indoctrinated to believe that the Current Ruling Regime (no matter how evil or corrupt) is synonymous with the Founding Fathers and as good and moral and worthy of fawning deification. And * has really reinforced the Statist core belief of identification with the Ruler = identification with the Nation (and by extension God).

So the people are barraged and overawed with the pomp & circumstance of the Federal Government (huge domed buildings, 24/7 security, marble and gleaming brass and mahogany everywhere, byzantine rules for addressing the speaker and the body of Congress) all just window dressing to get you to lay down and accept being ruled. To make matters even worse, the ruling elite have for many years now convinced the plebes that, in fact, the plebes run the nation.

So many people also have a vested interest in ignoring all contrary data and forcing themselves to believe the opposite is true. (This is a common human failing which can only be overcome by adherence to strict rules, the Bill of Rights and Scientific Method being two examples.)

Therefore, until 20 Jan 2009 and * eventual passing and then long after that, expect the usual media suspects to defend as in the "Struggle Unto Death", and will never stop waving the Bloody shirt of 9/11, harping that we have saved 50 million people, we are safer, we are fighting them there so we don't fight them here, the sacrifice is worth it, in fact we really were greeted as liberators, and on and on and on and on and on and on until the breaking of the world...
