Does anybody KNOW how Gore feels about NAFTA now?
Edited on Sat May-13-06 12:20 AM by JanMichael
Look...We, he, was robbed in 2000, period. I'm in agreement (well prior to his analysis) with Lance DeHaven-Smith on this, period. we live now under, UNDER, a false/criminal goverment.

And in general I like the man. I believe that on many mnay issues he's a liberal and even somewhat progressive.

However I'd like to know, and I've googled this to no avail (it's late and i'm tired), what his view is on this disasterous policy now a decade later.

Is he happy with NAFTA and the WTO working as it has worked, which has been imo pretty terrible for all sides other than the VERY rich and clever exploiters?

1. Thank you so much for posting this
I wonder how he could have sold us down the river for a basket of strawberries.
What really happened.
And why did he concede to the betrayal of democracy...?

2. Gore comes from an old political family. Sort of
another dynasty. I tend to reserve judgement on all of the dynasty people. Personally, I feel we have had enough of them. My trust quotient is very low.

4. There is always a chance he matured???
He did endorse Howard Dean.. But, I don't trust Gore either. I recall all too well, him speaking before the Florida Democratic State COnvention( when we lived there) and he was a Senator. Delegates had a fit. He sounded like Reagan with Communists coming north of the border from Nicaragua. He was a senator then, about to run for president.
Sometimes think Gore has a progressive streak, but mostly an opportunist. Is he not working for some big insurance conglomerate now too.?

3. The only thing worse than the WTO is no WTO...
Al Gore was right then. Let's hope he hasn't changed his mind.

5. What do you mean by that?
WTO is not about trade. It is about propertiary rights for big corporations such as Microsoft or other information industries, as an example.

You should be ashamed of yourself for supporting it!
