8. Errmmm,, what was the question? Why bother putting up a poll
with a cryptic and ambiguous question like that?

If you are going to ask a question ask it and be clear about it.

Why bother carping without telling us what you think about it?
"If you are going to ask a question ask it and be clear about it." :boring:

Aren't there "cryptic and ambiguous" attitudes and reasoning around the question of voting? :hi:

10. Voting - for what !?
Your "question" was "DU You Vote." <--<<< What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Of course I vote in local, state and national elections if that is what you are asking.

17. Hi Bluerum. Since Posters Refer To This Site As DU, Many Will Substitute
Edited on Fri May-12-06 11:28 PM by OPERATIONMINDCRIME
the word 'do' with 'DU' in recognition and honor of this site. Similar to when you see people post "DU This Poll" which you may have seen as well. So DU wasn't a typo, it was just inside lingo.

:)

18. Never missed a vote since 1976!
Even when I was sick with fever!

Always voted straight Democratic ticket, with no regrets.

NOT so sure next time - which says alot.

I'm tired of the "triangulation"
I'm tired of not going with what is right BECAUSE IT IS RIGHT! instead of all the pandering and worring about catching some asswipe fundy christians who would never vote for us in the first place while ignoring the steady base LIKE ME and constantly telling me LATER when it comes to GAY RIGHTS, WOMEN'S RIGHTS and too many others.

I'm tired of refusing to take a stand for IMPEACHEMENT which is not only right but DEMANDED!

I'm tired of all the backtracking and apologizing when none is necessary!

I'm tired of all the spinelessness.

and - most of all

I'M FUCKING PISSED AT MY VOTE BEING TAKEN FOR GRANTED!

19. We hear ya
"I'M FUCKING PISSED AT MY VOTE BEING TAKEN FOR GRANTED!"

"Always voted straight Democratic ticket, with no regrets.

Not sure you would "vote straight Democratic ticket"? Those who "take your vote for granted" think there's no other option for Dems.... what are you considering doing?

"I'm tired of not going with what is right BECAUSE IT IS RIGHT! instead of all the pandering and worring about catching some asswipe fundy christians who would never vote for us in the first place while ignoring the steady base LIKE ME and constantly telling me LATER when it comes to GAY RIGHTS, WOMEN'S RIGHTS and too many others."

Not sure what you mean "constantly telling me later...." Are there "too many other" issues you feel are forced upon you as a Democrat?

"I'm tired of refusing to take a stand for IMPEACHEMENT which is not only right but DEMANDED!"

There are a FEW voices (and bills in state legislatures) that ARE taking a stand.

:hi:

21. The last "anybody but bush" comes to mind.
The being told to shut up about gay marriage and choice so as not to alienate some imaginary neanderthal voter.

Not willing to fund antipoverty and social wellfare programs for those same reasons during the last time we were in the most prosperous cycle ever.

There ARE a few voice taking a stand - and they are marginalized and VILIFIED by the so-called Dem Leadership on a reqular basis.

22. The Corpbots rule the Party and the Congress
and the lone voices are-- a miracle.

They are "marginalized and VILIFIED" in the media, yet they keep WORKING! :applause:

This image of Hillary cozying up to Murdoch is so bizarre. Party leaders truly think Dem voters have nowhere to go-- and they don't seem much concerned about the rigged voting machines and past two stolen elections, do they, hmmmmmmmmmm?

23. Brilliant
Americans believe they are free to take their right to vote for granted

Thanks for the great quotes:

Americans (and British) have different ways of saying things. They say "elevator", we say "lift" ... they say "President", we say "stupid psychopathic git". (Alexis Sayle)

Man is certainly stark mad; he cannot make a worm, yet he will make gods by the dozen. (Michel de Montaigne)

The true meaning of life is to plant trees under whose shade you do not expect to sit. (Nelson Henderson)

G'day ta downunda! :hi:
