Sitting here doing my bills and I was glad to let BellSouth know how I felt about them violating my privacy.

Hope you do the same.....

1. Do you really think the poor underpaid chump or computer opening
your bill really cares?

2. Good point. The guys at the top never have to deal with consequenses
They have underpaid worker bees that end up holding the shit end of the stick

We could send snail mail registered, return receipt mail to the bosses. Sure their assistants would be the ones dealing with that, but at least they are higher up on the bitch at the boss pole. After a few thousand times of signing for the mail, they might waltz into the inner sanctum and let loose with some true feelings ;)

People, please, if you call to complain, preface it with "I realize you personally have nothing to do with company policy. My complaints have nothing to do with you personally... " Be kind to the worker bees. It isn't their fault.

3. Bet you the "Queen Bees" didn't think they were signing up for this
Edited on Fri May-12-06 09:36 PM by applegrove
when they bankrolled Bush into office eh? I really think most of neocondom is just about their own needs - it obviously has nothing to do with the free functioning of markets and the like. Or governance. Or anything else they claim to be for.

I wonder if they are doing a little thinking about which "cells" to fill with "honey". I hope so.

8. Yeppers. That is why Rove has his politicians play to their audiences
Tell 'em what they wanna hear. Make 'em think you're just like them. Make 'em feel like you give a shit about them. Get their donation and their vote then dump all over them. Just means to an end

And the self serving idiots bought it hook, line and sinker.

bush's appeal was that he made people feel good about themselves and never challenged them to stretch past their comfort zone: cool, he's no smarter than me. Why, I'd be a great leader so this bush guy would too. We're so much alike. He can take care of things for me and I won't have to worry... They slipped into neutral and MSM helped them stay that way for too long.

12. The worker bees can't pressure the bosses
They just absorb the stress. No point being hard on them

Find ways to take it to the executive suites.

15. I see your point...but
they don't have to pressure the bosses....reading comments of fellow Americans all day may actually give them a smile... and show our kinship with fellow working people.....

16. Stress has more to do with dealing with shit you have no power to change
than it has to do with being in a high postition with a lot of responsibility.

I didn't say don't complain, I reminded to preface it with acknowledgement that you realize the person taking your call and dealing with your complaint is not responsible for the problem.

Civility and empathy go a long way to win friends and influence people ;) Acknowledging that we know the worker bees are not to blame is a good start to helping them get through their day.

5. It would be noticed if enough people did it...
and the poor underpaid chump would show it to his slightly higher paid supervisor who would inform some flunky middle management type and who knows, they might actually take notice in the board room.

13. From what I hear lots of people care
It costs us nothing to voice our dissent.

Could we with hold the tax? Or pay a small portion of the bill in pennies. $1.00 worth of pennies stuffed in every bill would certainly get attention. Hard to ignore the pile.

The alternative is to simply record all our conversations for them, so they can more easily listen to the tapes any time they wish.

7. I used to work in a PR firm. I suggest that you call the PR depts
or Corporate Communications dept. They are the public face of the company, and interface directly with senior management. I wouldn't bother the poor schmucks in customer service or billing.

Interesting news that Verizon jumped right up and said "Yes sir! How
quickly?" when asked by the NSA to provide call records on its customers
without so much as a whimper of dissent or questioning.

Might be time to dump these bozos....

I Xed out the personal headers

and tossed away.

the ones that are hand processed are processed by folks forced to process thousands per day. They don't have time to read notes.

I still like it, just don't spend alot of time it.

Oh yea..to make sure its read by a person...write on the barcodes so that it won't scan.
