Get the feeling there is a grassroots uprising - not gonna take anymore!

This week seems to be a turning point for people power.

People are getting throughly angry at what is going on in the USA. This is what America is made of. People will start throwing the tea in the harbor again. They will not stand for their rights to be violated by these imposters.

The people will not be moved. We say to you GW Bush bring it on see what we are made of.

1. Honestly, I see rage here at DU but I don't see it around me in

my everyday life. Indiana is very Republican and Bush is not popular even here. But I don't see rage. I see weariness and resignation. People here just got through paying property taxes that are 4 to 5 times what they were 5 years ago. Add gasoline prices to that. Good jobs here are hard to find.

What I see is everyone just beaten down and gloomy. Partly it's because they know Bush is a loser. Partly it's because they don't see Dems offering anything the least bit better.

Personally, sometimes I'm enraged and sometimes I'm in despair. Things are just awful in this country now -- it's like I'm living in a strange, unknown place. But the worse part is I don't hear much good from Democrats either. I don't hear any kind of agenda to address our problems. I just see a lot of shirts and ties blowing off and doing nothing to combat what's happening around me.

The Republicans are dangerous, corrupt, and incompetent. But I don't see the Dems leading any sort of groundswell of reform. And that worries me a lot.

2. Around here people are seething

there is a buzz. Not a Democrat thing but a grassroot thing.

3. "Strongly Disaprove" group is the largest

outnumber the "Strongly Approve" by 2:1 and may be a majority now.

5. There is a buzz but I still think its going to take some time.

I strongly feel that something is going to happen, something stupid. Bush will try to reverse his numbers and the only tools at his disposal that we have seen are pretty destructive, like starting wars. So yes, I feel the energy, but its gonna take Bush making another really dumb move to push it over the top...That's where there's this feeling that we really just need to sit and watch him explode in the last few years. Its just so bad that nobody can ignore it, more and more.
