If 81% of Americans disapprove of the direction
Bush is taking this country...
Somebody please tell me how in the f**k they
can approve of wire-tapping.
What has Bush done thus far that hasn't undermined the good of this country? How could
any American trust his judgement on anything???

2. Because it sounds like it was how the poll was worded...
If I ask you:

Are you willing to wiretap Americans if it helps prevent a terrorist attack?

I will most likely get a different answer than if I asked:

Do you think the president should disregard your 4th amendment rights and illegally wiretap American citizens?

9. "without a warrant..
and who aren't currently under investigation for anything"

would get a very different answer and a resounding NO.

3. They didn't
ABC/WaPo ran what you could basically call a push poll. They worded the questions in such a manner that people would answer the way they wanted. The poll was taken BEFORE the news of what the NSA had done came out in USA Today. I bet if anyone did a poll on NSA spying now, the results would be very different.

15. F-E-A-R
they will never forget the image of those planes crashing into the World Trade Center and are for anything that they think will keep them safe. It's up to the Democrats to point out that wiretapping is not keeping them safer, in fact the opposite because it's too much information mudding the waters and taking valuable resources on a wild goose chase.
