Ah Come-on DU - think of the GOOD side of this NSA Database...
Just off the top of my head:
1. Now the White House can determine exactly when Jack Abramhoff called the White House. 2. We can know who and when Jeff Gannon called the White House and if anyone at the White House called Gannon 3. We can determine who was coordinating with the SwiftVets organization back in 2004.
Cuz is they have nothing to hide, why don't they let us have access to the database too?
7. Unfortunately there will be no debate about this.
and if anything this will legitimizing any intrusions into our privacy that the government wishes to undertake. This brings the issue to the for front, but now people will dismiss it. It's kind of like when you see a cop on the road. You are driving perfectly, But somewhere in the back of your mind you have this sneaking suspicion that they will pull you over merely because "they can". It's an abuse of power that people merely shrug off as "Oh that's the way it's always been".
