8. I shouldn't be stunned at Wolf's reaction, but I am...
He just segued into the next segment..."Thank you, Jack...good to hear from you...uh, obviously upset as you are...Next, is HILLARY CLINTON the devil's spawn? We'll find out next in the situation room, where new blast-faxes from Karl Rove are coming in all the time."

diversionary tactics, but that must be difficult to do following Cafferty's righteous raving! :spray:

16. seeing as how Specter was the ARCHITECT of the single most important
justification of an actual coup that took place thirty three years ago, I find that statement truly frightening, as well as very discouraging

anybody who thinks Specter will lift a finger to go against this regime is, to put it mildly, misoverestimating that sycophant.

I'd like to be wrong on this; I really would, but look at what he's done EVERY single time recently, when he's had a chance to stand up against his own Party hierarchy. what a sad, sick joke he is.

what makes anybody think this time it's going to be different?

So, reading through Specter's bluster, I remain unimpressed with his outraged announcement that he's going to call the phone companies in to testify -- and not one administration official.

...full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

9. Wow, he was on fire.
He couldn't have been more angry. He said that the NSA has been tracking our phonecalls for the past few years without our knowledge or permission. He said that Bush came out to tell us that everything is on the up and up and for us not to worry about it. Cafferty went on to say "Why don't you catch Osama Bin Ladin and secure our borders and check our port containers". He also said "If you are not concerned about this, you should be, we are one step away from a dictatorship."

I know I am forgetting some of it, but he was on fire. Can't wait to hear the responses he gets from that.

21. My email response
I am as concerned about them listening to my phone conversations as they should be about future investigations into their current policies and practices. They say we shouldn't be concerned if we aren't doing anything wrong, then neither should they. Bring on the Special Investigator. Let's see what they say then when testifying under oath will be the norm not the exception.

32. Done!
I noted that this administration could pull phone records of anyone they consider to be enemies of the state, which amounts to anyone who deviates from the Republican mold, leading the way for manipulation of the press as well as elections.

27. My starting point is that
I have grave doubts about their version of 9/11 and the entire war was based on lies. Americans are slowly waking up to the fact that their government has been seized by criminals and robber barons.

20. and this, from yesterday's email question:
Edited on Thu May-11-06 03:33 PM by Gabi Hayes
What would you think of a third Bush president? Jeb Bush, that is

here are the responses he read over the air

BLITZER: Jacki, thanks very much. Let's check in with Jack. He's in New York with "The Cafferty File." A moment ago, Jack, I confused the two Bush brothers, Jeb Bush is the little brother, George Bush is the older brother, but go ahead.

CAFFERTY: But Jeb Bush is the bigger brother, physically.

BLITZER: He's taller.

CAFFERTY: And heavier, and, yes -- and younger. All right. The reason we're yakking about this is President Bush said today that his brother Jeb would make a great president. Term limits prohibit him from running for Florida governor. So we asked, what would you think of a third president Bush?

Richard in Springfield, Missouri, says he's a lifetime Republican voter, a former lifetime Republican voter: I'd rather be run over by a large truck. I'd rather come down with a fatal, painful illness. I'd rather have my ex-wife be awarded the final 10 percent she didn't originally get. Do you get the point? The last thing this country needs is another Bush.

Carl in Spokane, Washington: I'd rather brush my teeth with barbed wire than have another Bush in the White House.

Rob in Cambridge, Massachusetts: The only thing scarier than a third President Bush is a second President Clinton. This trend toward dynastic rule in both major parties should make Americans start considering third parties more seriously.

Chris in Denver: I think I want a third Bush like someone wants a third heart attack.

Troy in Battle Creek, Michigan: Another stupid question to answer. What the hell is wrong with you? The Bushes are a reflection of the things that are wrong in America, and you don't change that by continuing to give them opportunities to be cast in a favorable light.

Gregg in Eugene, Oregon: A third President Bush? Hopefully the American people will keep their sadomasochism where it belongs ... in the bedroom.

T. in Omaha, Nebraska: If you knew what I think about the present George Bush, you would understand that if there were a third, I would pray that I'd drop dead instantly.

And Gurpal in Livingston, California: What would you think of a third President Bush? Only if it's Anheuser-Busch.

40. The ONLY one in the MSM
Edited on Thu May-11-06 07:51 PM by DainBramaged
"don't know about wisdom but you'll get a bit of outrage. We better hope nothing happens to Arlen Specter, the Republican head of the Judiciary Committee, because he might be all that's standing between us and a full blown dictatorship in this country. He's vowed to question these phone company executives about volunteering to provide the government with my telephone records and yours, and tens of millions of other Americans.

Shortly after 9-11, AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth began providing the super secret NSA with information on phone calls of millions of our citizens, all part of the war on terror, President Bush says.

Why don't you go find Osama Bin Laden and seal the country's borders and start inspecting the containers that come into our ports?

The President rushed out this morning in the wake of this front page story in USA Today and he declared the government's doing nothing wrong and all of this is just fine.

Is it? Is it legal?

Then why did the Justice Department suddenly drop its investigation of the warrantless spying on citizens? Because the NSA said Justice Department lawyers didn't have the necessary security clearance to do the investigation.

Read that sentence again.

A secret government agency has told our Justice Department that it's not allowed to investigate it. And the Justice Department just says okay and drops the whole thing.

We're in some serious trouble here boys and girls."

Captain Jack, hero of the little guy.
