Yes, it turns out that Steven Colbert was right last night. When we have fewer laws, fewer things will be illegal. Problems solved.

3. In the absence of laws, paranoia will prevail.
When you don't know what to expect from your neighbor, that's when the trouble starts.

4. Frankly, I have to agree with this, up to a point
Polygamy should be allowed in the US, but only between consenting adults. Key point, adults. What Warren Jeffs and other FLDS whackjobs are doing is marrying children, under seventeen, as young as twelve and thirteen. That's sick. In addition, from what I've heard in the media, this Jeffs fellow is arranging marriages also, generally between older men and minor girls. Gee, that's pimping right there.

I have no problem with polygamy between adults, but that isn't what is going on with the FLDS people, and it should be stopped

6. IMHO there are way too many
laws on the books now. Not only federal but local and state. Some are either out of date or redundant. Again IMHO, maybe before any new laws are passed, the same amount on the books should be canceled. Maybe the current laws should be fully enforced and no new laws would need to be passed.

7. we are a country of laws when we break them...
when bush and his people break them they aren't laws anymore. It was against the law to leak valerie plames name then bush leaked it and it wasn't against the anymore.
