my problem with Air America

is that it is AM radio.

it goes like this:

ABC news
5 minutes of commercials
1 minute show intro
1 minute of talking
5 minutes of commercials
3 minutes of talking
5 minutes of commercials
repeat until top of the hour

i can't stand it.
i can't stand NPR anymore.
i can't stand Pacifica or Free Speech Radio because i can barely understand half their reporters.

5. Podcast! It's a day late, but I love the no commercials.

You have to pay for it now, but it's pretty reasonable, and AAR usually has the casts up within 3 hours of the end of broadcast.:hi: Randi's show lasts 2:30, everybody else, 1:50.

The commercial load is incredible! I get it on my XM, and I will turn it on for a few minutes here and there, when I can actually catch some of a show in between commercials!

too many damn commercials or that stupid instrumental fill music (at least it's better than hear that same idiotic commericial about the woman trying to talk to her daughter- some stupid PSA). I just stopped listening altogether. Too fucking annoying. I just plug in my MP3 player when I am in the car anymore.

stephanie miller is the best thing on our affiliate, but its ultimately just drive time jokesters
tom hartman i like, he's on 2 hours when i'm at work
ed schultz is a centrist gasbag who sounds exactly like rush limbaugh
al franken i like, but he's on while i'm at work
randi rhodes is repetitive & given to substituting stammering, hyperbole, & rote 'omigods' for actual content

there's barely any phone calls taken on any show but tom hartman

I just want to vent, I find Mark Riely the worst by himself. I find his whole show "phoned in". I find it highly over scripted and 80% just junk... You can cram "Sunrise sound bites" in your ass, and the questions he asks us to phone in on --- "Do you think this NSA thing is bad? We want to know what you think.." MARK IT IS A DAMN LEFT RADIO NETWORK, WE ALL THINK IT SUCKS, WHY WOULD YOU ASK DUMB SHIT LIKE THIS....
