My 85 year old Dad saw the news about NSA
wiretapping this morning and he said it looks like it's time to put my uniform back on (WWII) and get these bastards. This isn't Russia!!

1. it must be so sad for veterans who risked their lives...
...to see the rights that made this country what it was being stripped away.

 to your dad.

2. A big component of this story is...
...Junior's lie that the spying isn't on ordinary citizens. Only if you have
a suspected terrorist link are you being monitored.

Bullshit!

They're spying on us. AND lying about it.

WTF are they doing?

9. How are they going to do that?
I'm curious about your thoughts on this issue.

Are you thinking that those "detention camps" might be put to good use
pretty soon.

I really don't know what to think anymore.

What scares me most is---the things that they're doing--that we don't know about.

Glen Beck was just talking about Michael Chertoff's comments about not using the
Internet. He doesn't use email and he doesn't use the Internet. Beck said that
Chertoff knows damn well that anything and everything is being tracked--and Chertoff's
refusal to use email/Internet/electronic communication is proof how the deep level
of surveillance that we're all under.

Lovely.

If mine were still alive (WWII vet and a lifelong Dem) I'm quite sure he'd feel the exact same way. After all they were "the men that saved the world." Bill Clinton, June 6, 1994.

I am sooo angry right now, I can't even begin to describe it.

Don't mean to blow my own horn, but I think my sig line says it all....

5. Excellent!
I just lost my Dad (86 y.o. WWII Veteran) two months ago to a sudden brain aneurysm. How blessed you are to have his company. The Greatest Generation indeed!

Sounds like he is much more aware than many deluded twenty somethings. :applause:

Thanks for making me smile. :hi:

8. To your dad, he is what I call
a true :patriot: as opposed to this idiot from (not so)Free Republic when discussing government wiretapping of our citizens.

The only people who are afraid of the goverment listening to your phonecalls or seeing who you call are terrorists or people helping them.
