* about oil prices,"What do you want me to do, wave a magic wand?"
Edited on Wed May-10-06 07:23 PM by nytemare
This was actually his response to a question on what he would do about high oil/fuel prices to a local reporter in Orlando.

They were talking about this on a local radio show, but I doubt it will make print.

6. No kidding.
We expect so much of this president. Now, he should ask why his Veep would say something like, "rising gas prices are a sign of a failed presidency" back in '98. That was when gas was about 1.20 a gallon. He must think the President can do something about fuel prices, and being that he was head of Halliburton then, he should know.

5. Nope.... just continue to blow hundreds of billions of taxpayer's
dollars on wars that shouldn't have happened and contracts that shouldn't have been given. Moron.

7. Did he have his usual arrogant smirk on his face?
Of course no magic wand was needed to give Exxon (and the other big oil companies) all-time high profits this quarter. And we know BushCo always waves their magic wands to make big corporations pay more taxes.

9. No idea.
A local radio talk show was discussing it. I don't know if there is any video of it, or if there will be print on it either.

A long time ago.

Maybe he used his jawbone when he kissed the Prince.

13. he could do what he promised to do in 2000:
While on the campaign trail in 2000, Bush told President Bill Clinton how to handle OPEC, in public no less. "What I think the president ought to do," he said, "is he ought to get on the phone with the OPEC cartel and say we expect you to open your spigots."

And in a brilliant, highly educational follow-up comment, Bush informed the audience: "One reason why the price is so high is because the price of crude oil has been driven up."

"OPEC has gotten its supply act together," Bush advised listeners, "and it's driving the price, like it did in the past."

"And," he said in direct advice to Clinton, "the president of the United States must jawbone OPEC members to lower the prices."

the idiot disappear as fast as magically possible. In fact, I will pay $5 a gallon for gas for a year, no questions asked.

18. What an irresponsible war criminal that nitwit is. What about...
stop enriching his inner circle (Exxon-Chevron-Texon-Helliburton) at the expense of taxpayers' blood and money to start with?

And also stop playin' like an idiot coward $choolyard bully with Iran, and accept Putin's offer for helping them build their own nuclear POWER PLANTS?? It's not like learning how to use real diplomacy that would help reduce the global market anxiety of seeing an almost exact repeat of the same pattern of LIE$ that the little king used to start that illegal debacle Iraq is today...

What a Marie-Antoinette coward pR-eznit. :wtf:
