Hwy 60 has been closed for hours.They found the 500 lbs of explosives

My poor husband is still trying to get home.. I am glad they found it, but have seen little or nothing on the news about it. Perhaps whoever took it,m panicked and left it there.. :shrug:

I don;t know if they have the people who stole it or just the explosives.. My husband's coworker returned to the office after a cop at the blocked entrance told him.

Two Boxes Of Explosives Found In Riverside


(CBS) RIVERSIDE, Calif. Two boxes believed to contain dynamite were found Wednesday in a city fire station driveway, prompting road and freeway ramp closures and the lockdown of a nearby school, according to police.

The black boxes were found about 11:30 a.m. in front of Fire Station No. 6 at 2293 Main St., near downtown, said Steven Frasher of the Riverside Police Department.

The police department's bomb squad was sent to the scene, along with agents from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

"It's been inspected. It's been determined to be an explosive package," Frasher said. "If the contents are deemed stable, it just becomes a transportation issue, and if it's not, they will be more careful."

The boxes reportedly contained up to 600 sticks of dynamite.

Or maybe they are real live terrorists in which case you'd think Homeland Security would have issued an orange alert or something. Certainly if there was danger...
