Conversation about my Kennedy bumper sticker

So, I have a bumper sticker that says "Kennedy for Congress" on my car because I am working on Sensenbrenner challenger Bryan Kennedy's campaign. I live in the 2nd district and work in the 1st, but I'm working on a campaign in the 5th.

My Repub boss saw it and asked about it- and I told him. He said he didn't know who Kennedy was and he wondered if I was someone who hoped Congress would have more people from THE Kennedy family, which I thought was pretty funny!

And finally he said "its too bad the Democrats couldn't run someone better than Kerry last time, but I guess you have to have a lot of money to run for president"... Yeah, I guess so. I know he voted for Bush twice but he almost sounded like he regretted it, and was sorry that there was no better alternative than Kerry.

I'd be consumed by guilt if I were in his shoes.

At church by several - hoping the Dems run a good one this time (got a headache trying not to roll my eyes)

and a few other "evangelicals" I know, sound very regretful.


(I thought Kerry was pretty good, he was just out PR'd)
