Sir! No Sir! is a powerful and timely documentary that reveals the hidden history of the GI movement against the war in Vietnam. Among the many riveting interviews are those of Louis Font, the first West Point grad ever to refuse service, and Terry Whitmore, a decorated African-American soldier who chose exile in Sweden, as well as a reflective interview with Jane Fonda.

Former Atlanta-based director David Zeiger and Jane Fonda will stay for Q & A after the 7:00pm showing.

3. I tried to get into Sir ! No Sir !

yesterday and failed miserbalby - my IP is blocking that site. Anyone else got that problem. I'm trying to find out if it's available on DVD yet. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

thats very strange that its being blocked for you. I wonder why that could be.

I dunno, maybe try a different browser...like if you used IE then give firefix a shot? That does just sound really weird though! Maybe they were working on the site???

Its not out on DVD yet. They are really trying to get a buzz about it so more theaters will pick it up than the usual documentary set...

Thanks for the notes. I managed to get in through my daughter's Boltblue dialup. I'm using 10meg Ntl cable broadband. If you search vDECK on yahoo it recognises there is a problem but appears to provide no solution. Odd that !

Were you able to watch the animation at HuffPo (in the OP)? That has a lot of the Sir! No Sir! trailer in it. I checked the site and there is nothing about DVDs yet that I could see.

Set up a scholarship fund for kids who are thinking about going into the military. When they are contacted by a armed forces recruiter we contact them with a scholarship opportunity, so if they are simply doing it for money, they don't have to die.

On the film, it was screened here in Rome last week at a film festival. Incredible historical document, a "people's history" and very inspiring. We could all learn some lessons from this film. Go see it!

On the flash video - now that would be a powerful tool to have on a laptop at any counter recruitment events! Imagine standing outside a recruitment office with that playing!
