1. She's been on it for YEARS
I still remember her unquestioning interview with Eliot Abrams during the Reagan administraiton. She let Abrams get away with so many lies (things that anyone who had been following current events could have caught), that I wrote an angry letter to the News Hour.

I didn't get a response for four months, and then it was a printed postcard that said, "We're sorry you think our coverage is biased."

2. I know she was there some years ago,
but she's been shilling for the repubs over at CNN here lately.

3. I haven't seen her on CNN at all. Am I missing something? The
only place I've seen her is on CSPAN at a function occasionally, like at that party where Colbert embarrassed the whole world? But I imagine some choice spots she shows up at. Not CNN from what I've seen.

7. Inside Politics was the name of that show. Judy had a major problem
Nobody liked her. She was smug and condescending and her ratings were dismal. Wonder how Wolfie is doing by comparison. I think Jack may be helping him out.

4. She retired from CNN, and now does occasional work for the NewsHour
part of the family returns

6. "part of the family returns"
It's funny, I used to really like her back in the day, and thought she was very fair and intelligent, but after 2000, she seemed real comfortable reading WH blast faxes, and being smug with all others.

I like her husband ( Al Hunt ) a lot.

8. She's much better now, on Newshour
I think a lot must depend on the management. She just does straightforward, spin-free interviews at Newshour, and does them better than Margaret Warner, who I think of as a robot with no soul. At least Judy smiles and speaks with normal tones.

9. I think you're right about the management angle.
Maybe it's the lack of principle, that permits these people ( newscasters) to , " go with the flow " so to speak.
As far as Judy goes, I know she's smart and informed, so, when I see her play a role --so to speak-- it's really galling.

11. I wonder whether she left CNN out of principle
Just speculating. She might have been fired for all I know. But her first day back at PBS she smiled and said it was like coming home.
