North Carolina Supreme Court nominee: B**h is like Roman dictator, Julius
December 30, 2005

Dear Friends & Voters:

When Julius Caesar became Dictator of Rome, he aggregated all power in himself to accomplish his own ends. He believed it to be justified, for the Romans' own good, whether they wanted it or not. What we have in this administration is not any different.

This administration thinks it is okay to spy on individuals. This administration thinks that it is permissible to lock someone up indefinitely without charging them with a crime. This administration takes the position that it is fine to engage in a preemptive war without justification. This administration believes that if the facts don't fit, it will make them do so either by selectively choosing them, or by lying. This administration thinks that the murder of a panic-stricken US citizen by air marshals is acceptable. This administration thinks that manipulation of the media to obtain positive stories is warranted.

1. This is great
We need to make sure this is shouted from the roof-top. It's past time for the rest of America to catch on.

4. Rachel Lea Hunter - Republican
She broke with the Repub party over the Iraq debacle and has been anti-Bush ever since. They really hate her on the other side.

She seems a bit skewed to the nutty side a la Bev Harris (read her web pages if you don't believe me) but I like her stance on a lot of issues. Doubt very much I'll vote for her, though.

6. Remember what happened to Caesar
He was whacked not by his enemies or political opponents, but by his so-called friends, the ancient Roman equivalent of members of his own party who grew tired of his grabs for absolute power.

I wouldn't put it past moderate repukes to have had enough of *'s --and Cheney's -- tyrannical ways and find a way to get rid of him either by impeachment (the best way) or other, extralegal methods. No wonder the Bush regime is so paranoid: they know someone wants them out of the way because they're standing in the way of the rule of constitutional law.
