Unbelievable Hypocrisy: What about the spying itself? What about the
Plame leak? I don't remember his concern for the Plame leak and then he reverses himself on the issue if anyone in his administration is found to be involved.

The president last week denounced in strong language the leaking of information about the agency's program, saying: "My personal opinion is it was a shameful act for someone to disclose this very important program in a time of war. The fact that we're discussing this program is helping the enemy."

Privacy advocates on Friday said the leak investigation should be set aside, at least for now, in favor of an investigation of the warrantless eavesdropping itself.

1. Because when Plame was leaked it benefited him.
This spy program was leaked and it hurt him. He's not concerned in the least about national security, but rather about how he can line the pockets of himself and his buddies, and how he can save his own ass.

2. IOKIYAR
besides, the logic module in their brain seems to be absent or corrupted anyway. Most freeper explanations for things contain little, if no, logic.

Hypocrisy is their middle name.

3. Its not suprising. Republicans hate whistleblowers
because whistleblowers bust people who are breaking the law.

4. That's the core principle involved -
Executive power and executive privilage. In this administrations opinion the executive must be allowed to do whatever it wants, whenever it wants.

5. "But there are checks and balances"

we have the Supreme Court, which appointed Bush in 2000 and has become even more pro-Bush since then, now that the Chief Justice is Bush's own personal bitch.

And we have Congress, which for the most part is filled with Bush loyalist Republicans who do whatever he says.
