I have no idea why they asked for that infomation but I won't sign with that requirement. I've never had a petition drive ask for it.

5. On that page

if you click on "Take Action", on the right and then click on "Become Carbon Neutral" you can take a quiz to estimate how many pounds of carbon you personally emit to the atmosphere each year. Then you can follow a link to a site where you can purchase investments in clean energy equal to an offset of that amount of carbon (that site lists it in tons, you'll have to divide your number from the quiz by 2000). I was already below average in my output (probably because I commute by public transit). Now combined with my Terrapass for my car I am now carbon neutral! :hippie:

6. I did NOT make the pledge.

For one reason. The nearest opening to me is 21 miles away. That would be 21 miles of carbon emissions to go see a movie warning about global warming. That seems kind of hypocritical to me. There are a number of theaters much closer to me. I will wait till one of them has it. If they don't, then I'll have to wait for the DVD.
