Millions are out to kill us....
So they send 19 people with boxcutters to defeat us. And they did. They defeated us. We lost the war. Under the great leadership of George W Bush and the rubberstamp Republicans in the House and Senate, with the assistance of a few Democrats, the last remaining superpower is on its way to Third World status.

Nineteen people with boxcutters and we declare war on the world. There was no country that we could identify so we invaded an unarmed country, which we had bombed and inspected for 12 previous years, and continue to occupy even today. But we are not the same country.

We are a nation of Don Knotts characters, the shakiest guns in the West, fearful of our own shadows because we were attacked by 19 swarthy men with boxcutters. I am ashamed of our country. Ready to give up our freedoms because they are following a cowardly Elmer Gantry character posing as a leader and president. What would have happened if they had sent a hundred people with boxcutters? We would all be crouching in the corners shaking like dogs shitting peach seeds?

2. "Because of Bush's incompetence, there were terror attacks
and 3,000 innocent Americans died.

So now, we must do whatever he says! Don't question him at all!"

3. Most of those hikackers were Saudis.
Why hasn't Saudi Arabia been called on the carpet for 9/11? Well, chimpboy, why not?!?!

4. land of the free and the brave, right? liberty or death, right?
it's funny, the slogans I was raised to cherish now seem lost in Duct Tape, blue tarpaulins and color-coded alerts.

We have become what I was reared to scorn, and how people don't see that really boggles my mind.

I see all these hucksters with 'United We Stand' stickers stuck to their trucks, but can you recall a period in history when we have ever been more fragmented? These same people who are talking about being united are simultaneously seeking to censor or worse those who might take issue with that.

It does illustrate the point that fascists seem to have to sense of semantics whatsoever.

6. There are only 300 million of us
We must be fearful, it is only prudent. I prefer to live my life cowering in the shadows with a strongman making all those pesky governmental decisions. I have always admired the totalitarian model, I mean voting, being informed, etc. is just far too much troubling responsibility.

7. So Is That The Mighty Al Queda Air Force?
Listening to wingnuts...especially about the spying bullshit...you'd think Al Queda has nuclear weapons, a viable air force and navy and is just sitting off the coast ready to swarm the shores (maybe that's what all them illegals are about, eh???).

The game here has always been Repugnicans need evil, un-defined by easily characterized boogie men to keep their hive intact. Be it Commies or Terrorists, the rhetoric and scare tactics are the same. I can't tell the difference between the crap these asshats were saying about the Soviets in the 70s (who were far more of a legitimate threat to this country) and the "terrorists" of today. They're so smart they can infiltrate everyone's computer system and operate at will, while they're framed as "dead-enders" in their death-throes...a bunch of rag-head losers. It depends on who this regime is speaking to and who they want to buck up or scare.

Again...if there is such an organized threat as this regime claims, then why isn't there more international support? It's cause we'd have to share the spoils and profits and this regime and its corporate masters are loathe to that idea. They need a good endless war to raid the treasury...building and replacing weapons systems and other pork projects that have nothing to do with "democracy" or even justice for those who were killed, but strictly for profits and political and financial advantage.

If this regime feels this threat is so great, let's get a declaration of war. If it feels it has to go beyond the constitution, then go the full monty and suspend most of its provisions through that declaration. The Repugnicans have the votes, what's stopping them? I'll tell you who are...the voters!

Happy New Years...

8. Yes, they're serious about the "war"...
time for another taxcut? That should have been a red flag for every dumbass Republican in this country. No one would ask for taxcuts if they were fighting a serious "war"...

10. "They" are the millions that are set to kill us all...
That's why they sent their battalion of crackerjack boxcutter special forces to "attack" our country. And they defeated a military with a $500 billion annual budget with a couple of boxcutters worth about $2.29 each. Wow! We must wonder if we are getting our money's worth?
