Who gives a F@#! if Colbert was FUNNY???!!!!!
The entire point was that the current state of this country is NOT FUNNY.

And that was the ironic icing on the satirical cake.

CHOKE ON IT PUKES.

1. The press is attacking him now full bore. Don't call out the
enablers. They are vicious.

2. Colbert was not funny.
But in the most serious of situations, he had the BALLS to lay down the truth in front of the president of the united states and the whole press corps. And in reality, this makes him better than any comedian alive in my opinion...because when push came to shove, Colbert showed the the jokes he makes about him having balls are in fact more real than O'Reilly, than any of the press...And that's a serious thing, not funny at all. LAying down the truth takes courage and its not funny. And Colbert makes me proud to be an American and THAT'S NO FREAKING JOKE!!!

3. Was it funny when * was "looking for WMD's?"
I don't think I've been more ashamed of my government as when I saw that. The truly evil cackled and guffawed right along with the AWOL King. No, it wasn't funny. What was funny was that Bush had to sit there and take it as he never has before. The only fear I have is now that the Emperor was stripped bare in public will it send him over the edge to the ruin of us all?

4. oooooooooooo.... great point SK.
i'd forgotten all about that since...

but i remember while i was watching the Colbert speech, i was quietly hoping he would bust into that when the video started. Like, looking for Bush's integrity or something.

5. Ha! Dear Friend.
YOU are the emporer. No proclamation from the "president", nor 1,000 Fox New stories can change this simple and fundamental fact: The power of this country is derived from WE THE PEOPLE of the United States...All of this lunacy right now is sadly supported by the fact that we are paying for it. But think of it, really. It is us that choose who our leaders will be. This fact cannot be changed by unlimited spam from the media, nor cowards riggin election. A nation was, and always will be, the collective will of the people in the nation...And that dear sir, is us! :)

6. It's odd they're fumbling around with that "not funny" charge. How old
do you have to be before you really start seeing beyond the need for instant total entertainment, releasing you from every care in the world, wiping your mind completely blank as you howl and screech with laughter?

Intelligent people don't need cheap laughs. They are a little deeper than that!

Here's your "funny," Republicans.

He who laughs last laughs BEST!

8. Colbert sure had me in stitches.
But I have such a black sense of humour that my friends often beg me to stop telling jokes as they've already cried enough for one day.

And laughing when the truth is told about Chimpy's administration takes a Very black sense of humour.

But it also takes the ability to get the joke, and if chimp's groupies were smart enough for that, they'd no longer be chimp's groupies.
