Dan Abrahams reporting about weed smoking on campus.
Where does he stand on the immigration issue? Just curious, checking out his consistency on the Hipocrometer. He is very upset that students think it is wrong to film them smoking and post their pictures on the web. "BUT POT SMOKING IS ILLEGAL! THAT IS THE ISSUE HERE!" The student rep is trying to say that drinking is a much bigger problem 365 days a year rather than this one-day campus pot party, and Dan just keeps saying "POT SMOKING IS ILLEGAL!"

Does he say the same thing about sneaking across the border and using fake documents to obtain working papers? Just curious. I don't usually watch his show because it's always about missing blonde girls.

2. Seriously, who is watching MSNBC between 4 - 5 pm?
Edited on Thu May-04-06 03:52 PM by Atman
20,000 people? At least it's not Natalie Holloway he's talking about.

I think his schtick is that he's a lawyer...he does reports on stories regarding "crime." That was the angle about the pot smoking on campus. His next story was about valet's ripping off the contents of your car (most don't, they determined).

4. So you're okay with this?
You're okay with the school shutting down a political rally? You're okay with the school photographing people making a political statement? Intimidating them into silence? Is that what you're saying?

This whole immigration thing has led me to the conclusion that this country truly is FUBAR.

5. Huh? Where did I even offer my own opinion?
I was asking about whether Abrahams was being consistent.

For the record, though, I think it is a complete waste of time and money to be concerned with a one-day rally such as this, not to mention the issue of posting the students' pictures on the web.

7. Oh, but it's the LAW
So I guess you aren't being consistent. Laws are often changed, and made right, when people are willing to break the law. It's as American as immigrants protesting against corporate exploitation. Do you know the first strike in this country was by Polish glassworkers who were denied the vote?? Way back in 1619. They were brought to Jamestown by the London Company and produced the first exports of that colony. Haven't come very far, have we.

8. Where are you getting this stuff from?
Edited on Thu May-04-06 04:24 PM by Atman
You're making stuff up. What am I not being consistent on? I haven't had a discussion about this. I was asking about HIS opinion. If you'd like to discuss MY opinion, fine. But please don't make assumptions and don't put words in my mouth.

6. Campus is the *best* place to get stoned
Roller blading super stoned is a gass.
Campuses ususally have very few cars, so
it makes for better skatepark.
