Mr. LD has asked me to quit saying the phrase, "I'm pissed off"
in front of his elderly parents. He feels that I am being disrespectful of his parents. He thinks they are uncomfortable with my language. Truly, I can't even remember saying anything like that in front of them, but he seems to remember such a situation.

So, I told him Ok. Tell your right-wing, Shrub-loving, Kool-aid drinking parents to quit sharing just how much they still love *, in front of me, and I will quit telling them how 'pissed' I am.

Does that sound fair to you? Discuss...

4. Ironically, my dad hates that, too, same as he hates
any expression with 'sucks' in it. I think it harkens back to bodily functions (Dad is 78), and has nothing to do with the current vernacular.
In any event, good luck.

6. Since you asked
I think that your opinion will always carry more weight if the specific language is inoffensive whenever possible.

Let the message offend

Edited on Wed May-03-06 09:21 PM by Vinnie From Indy
you quit getting "pissed on" by Smirky and his criminal regime. Then you can tell her to put that in her pipe and smoke it.

8. That reminds me of way back when I was home on leave
from combat (Viet Nam) and my stepfather told me he would really appreciate it if I would stop addressing my Mother as "Motherfucker".

As in, "Hey, Motherfucker, what's for lunch?"
