Why the Press does not find Colbert Funny?

Becuase the reality of what Bush and his adminstration has done to rape our country is hard to find humor in at all.

1. The press didn't find it funny because they were the target
at least as much as Bush. Colbert's point was that Bush is a terrible president and the press has been letting him get away with it.

2. Exactly. They have been totally complicit in letting the Emperor parade
around naked by constantly complimenting him on how wonderful he looks.

7. Because when Bush made a joke
about not finding WMDs under his desk, now THAT WAS FUNNY and not tasteless and all the media whores in the room laughed.

How soon the whores forget.

to one party or another, the mainstream press cannot be considered unbiased, no matter how hard Faux News tries to claim that they are fair and...oh...nevermind...Tony Snow is now the President's stunt double.

Priceless!

9. i think the same reason the press laughed so loud and long at bush
looking for the wmd last year is the same reason they were so uncomfortable with the truth that came from colbert.

they are scared of george bush.

just look at the nervous laughter, the looking around, the glare that bush put on colbert.

they are scared to death that the dictator will come after them one day.

The press is pissed because he's shows them as being complicit. And they have been.

12. why are they putting so much effort into convincing us he wasn't funny ?
so if he wasn't funny, he wasn't funny . why make a huge thing out of it. when people truly suck they just ignore it. not write up a bunch of stuff insisting they weren't funny.

these assholes just don't like it because the humour was aimed partly at their failures and there was a lot of truth to it.

18. Because he targeted "the press" even more than he
Edited on Wed May-03-06 01:22 AM by Jazz2006
targeted Bushboy.

While he did a great job of lampooning monkeyboy, that was a mere catalyst to criticize the media audience even more scathingly.... so no big surprise that the targets of Colbert's criticism didn't report on it.

It was, after all, an annual PRESS event, don't forget.

(edit: spelling - grrrrr)

they didn't like it because he showed them the pile of shit in the middle of their table and then shoved their faces in it and said "Bad dog."
