A great idea and no time to implement - (WARNING:GRAPHIC)
Edited on Sat Dec-31-05 09:28 AM by backtotheuniverse
This Baby Noor (Baby Nora) stuff is making me gag. We might get some attention, even local press by doing the following:

Put together an email featuring the spoon-fed feel-good pap about Baby Nora that's MSM's latest Rovish plan to engender support for the war,

AND

then add one of the photos you find when you Google "Iraqi child" and do an image search. WARNING: graphic content there!

Then blast the heck out of your friends, family and media sources all weekend long with Baby Nora vs. Real War pix. BEG them to forward on New Year's Eve and Day.

I started to do it but am moving this weekend and have no time.

Here's another source for stronger stomachs:
WARNING - THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST GRAPHIC SITES ON THE WEB FEATURING WAR CARNAGE - DON'T VIEW WITHOUT STRONG STOMACH.

I'm refering ONLY to the pictures like the one in the lower right hand corner of the following page, which is MSM "safe"

http://www.thenausea.com/elements/usa/iraq2005/february/fall2.htm

Maybe one of you has a more leisurely weekend plan than I have?

2. What is Baby Nora?
I don't watch mainstream television and get all of my news here. I must have missed this one.

3. It's being shown every 10 minutes on CNN TV
A feel good story about US soldiers saving an Iraqi baby with spina bifida who's being sent to US and treated, free, and is therefore an example of how great war is for children. See below.

4. I believe you have the child's name misspelled
Edited on Sat Dec-31-05 09:26 AM by ayeshahaqqiqa
If you are talking of the Iraqi child with spinal bifida, her name is "Noor", not "Nora". "Noor" in Arabic means "Light" and is one of the 99 Beautiful Names of God.
Edited to add: I see by your link that CNN is calling her "Nora"-interesting, because reports I heard and read on the internet yesterday called her "Noor"-I noted this because I usually spell the Name "Nur".
