Not hah-hah funny mind you, just “hmm” funny.

Has anyone noticed how the corporate-media, is making it a point to cover the immigration rallies wall to wall, over and over?

Yeah, me too.

It’s also conspicuously opposite of how they “covered” the anti-war rallies over the past four years, and how they are “covering” the test of a nuke is that is coming up, and the fact that the governor of Utah is concerned that his people may get adverse health effects from the Nevada "divine strake" test that is coming up shortly.

It’s also conspicuously opposite from the coverage we are getting about a draft coming up in our future, the 3 year anniversary of “mission accomplished” (or “miserably failed” as I have come to call it), civil war and mass insurgency in Iraq, Bin Laden releasing yet another video tape taunting pResident chimp, and rubbing his nose in his incompetence, and of course, gas prices over three dollars a gallon, while the bush crime cartel base of haves, and have-mores laughs at us all the way to the bank. Also not much on China buying up our national debt, and the republican controlled congress and house selling off parts of our national parks to them to keep our heads above water.

I wish any of this got HALF the coverage that the fake story of the Clintons stealing White House china or A FOURTH of the coverage of Dean’s half a second long “scream” got.

I’m a bit unsettled that the GOP's wedge issue-du-jour, has gotten as much play as it has here at DU, and extremely disappointed that people here, who I have seen posting with and cooresponding with, for the past two years have gotten sucked into the racial sniping, and infighting amongst ourselves. And if the immigration issue is a hot button topic for you, and if you are taking offense that I am downplaying your pet struggle, well, tough shit. I’m sorry I hurt your feelings. Get over it by talking to some people from Darfur, that most likely have it a little worse than you do.

As much as I tend to disagree with Will Pitt, he actually said something in a thread that had me shake my head in complete agreement. He said that the Democratic Party is so irrevocably shattered at times, that it’s no wonder we are constantly on the outside of the political decision making process looking in.

I agree with that. We need put all of our petty internal differences aside, put our eyes back on the ball, and gang up on these neo-con thugs? These are people that want to drop nuclear bombs on a nation that poses no threat to us in a month. A country that has huge economic ties to China and Russia. Can we get it together enough to can the infighting, and stave of world war three please?

1. Yep, that's how it's done. You've broken the code. Diversion, wedge,
diversion, wedge.
