Guy opened today's show with his purpose statement.

He's a life-long liberal, and he's an adult. He's not there to entertain you. Not that he WON'T, he's just not a clown. He's not there to play sound effects and silly songs and make you laugh. We're in the middle of George W. Bush's second term. Guy wants to INFORM you. He wants to EMPOWER you.

You want to hear the "Boobies" song? YOU KNOW WHERE TO GO FOR IT.

For the adults in the audience, you know who's walking the walk and talking the talk.

Guy made PERSONAL sacrifices to put his show back on the air. He's listener supported, but realize this...he's taken many a hit in the pocketbook to be the BEST progressive talk show host on the airwaves...AND HE IS.

I challenge ALL of you to listen to his show, to call in, to SUPPORT a man who LISTENS TO YOU. When you call Guy, he DOESN'T interrupt you and talk over you and act as if you don't exist, as SOME "liberal talk show hosts" during the 12:00-2:00 Pacific time DO.

DU likes to piss and moan about Hannity, O'Reilly, Limbaugh...well guess what? YOU'VE GOT GUY JAMES. Support him or SHUT...THE...FUCK...UP.

Flame me if you will. If you've learned one thing about me during my time at DU, it's the fact that I so not come to Internet message boards seeking approval.

Guy is a fucking HERO. Let's treat him like one.
