Immigration Watch: Canadian Immigrants Vow To "Not Consume Much"...

Canadian Workers working in their
natural habitat...Canada.

May 1st, 2006
Northern Border Militia Newsletter
Bellingham, WA - Today millions of immigrants from around the world, but particularly from the Southern countries with "Woooo! I'm soooo drunk!" based economies, came together to highlight immigration issues and the economic contributions of immigrants in the United States through a country wide one day boycott of goods and services.

In a show of solidarity Canadian immigrants from the Northern country of...um, Toronto?...anyway, they decided to join in the festivities by promising to "not consume much" adding, "It's really nice of you to invite us to your immigrant party even though we really just got in the car, came down here for a day trip, and just sorta fell into being the Manager of North Pacific shipping for a major international shipping company by accident."

Phil Terwillager, formerly a night clerk at Mac's (a chain of Canadian convenience stores similar to 7-11), spoke to us from his corner office on the 28th floor at Merrill Lynch Chicago head-quarters. "We in the Canadian immigrant community sort of understand the plight of the other immigrants in the U.S. We also kind of want to show our support. So a bunch of us got together at the golf course the other day and brain stormed, eh? We came to the conclusion that we weren't going to buy anything until 5pm when the Canadienes play the Hurricanes. Some of us were more sympathetic than others and agreed to wait until 6 pm when the Edmonton Oilers play the Detroit Redwings, but I have 4 grand riding on the Canadiens game soooo..."

They also vowed to participate in the planned candle light vigil this evening by only drinking Kokanee Lite.
