'Devilish' Jeans a Hot Seller in Sweden
By KARL RITTER, Associated Press Writer
Fri Dec 30, 1:35 PM ET

STOCKHOLM, Sweden - A punk-rock style, trendy tight fit and affordable price have made Cheap Monday jeans a hot commodity among young Swedes, but what has people talking is the brand's ungodly logo: a skull with a cross turned upside down on its forehead.

The jeans' makers say it's more of a joke, but the logo's designer said there's a deeper message.

"It is an active statement against Christianity," Bjorn Atldax told The Associated Press. "I'm not a Satanist myself, but I have a great dislike for organized religion."

Atldax insists he has a purpose beyond selling denim: to make young people question Christianity, which he called a "force of evil" that had sparked wars throughout history.

2. How foreign...
Religious leaders shrugging off this symbolism? Here outlawing them and boycotting stores would be a priority over feeding the hungry or teaching the love of their savior.

6. I suppose this will be the next big non-news
oh-look-how-badly-the-Christians-are-being-persecuted-oh-the-horror story of the year. Because the fake Christians have surely never persecuted anyone for their beliefs. Ever.

8. they instinctively know what's evil too, and jump for it!
it always amazed me about the demoncrowd that they could tell in their bones what choice cause harm and suffering and contradiction and hatred etc, no matter the context! these fukkers cannot tell anyone why Jesus warned mankind against 'gadarene swine' and the hypocrites who caused them to panic but they can split hairs on who means what using symbolism and 'intent!'

9. I was thinking the same thing.
They'll turn a previously ignored fashion fad into some big hype for the next two weeks to distract from 2,200 soldiers killed in Iraq, or Abramoff, or other rethuglican corruption.
