Rumsfiend got pissy in Baghdad this week
A full 10 seconds of silence passed after a reporter asked Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld what the intense secrecy and security surrounding their visit to Iraq signified about the stability of the country three years after the U.S.-led invasion. Rice turned to Rumsfeld to provide the answer. Rumsfeld glared at the reporter.

"I guess I don't think it says anything about it," he snapped.
He went on to say that President Bush had directed him and Rice to go to Iraq to "meet with the new leadership, and it happens that they are located here," a reference to the heavily fortified Green Zone where U.S. officials -- and many Iraqi leaders -- live and work.

....Rumsfeld arrived directly from Washington -- after a recent Asian tour -- but he seemed disengaged and bored, both to reporters traveling with him and to some U.S. officials. Some said he seemed irritated by the whole exercise. He did not speak a word to reporters with him on the flight to Baghdad.

During a joint meeting with reporters traveling with the secretaries, Rumsfeld frequently doodled with a black felt-tip pen or stared absent-mindedly at the ceiling when Rice spoke.

....Rumsfeld gave no separate interviews. At one point, he arrived early for a meeting and saw an array of television cameras inside the room. He shook his head at the reporters and turned on his heel.

3. The details are of interest, so thanks for posting,
but don't you think the news would be if Rumsfeld WASN'T pissy?

4. Yeah- It just ticks me off that the facade these jerks created isn't
included in the *first* reports of these events. Details always come later. They shouldn't get the pass.

the death count getting higher and higher and this country is being drained of its treasury.

9. In spite of Rumsfailed's public blathering and waving off...
the 8 Generals' announcements that he should resign he is probably seething about it. His ego outwgighs his skull.

6. Portrait of a Chickenhawk who can't make war.
Best news I've read all week. Spoiled child whose toys have been taken away, or--more ominous--whose birthday cake of Iranian blood and gore and tortured screams has been delayed. He has to put up with a bit of "diplomacy"--and is exasperated and anxious to get on with it--before the big surprise, "bombs away!", "tora! tora! tora!", the Big Bang, the thrill of conquest, the wet dream of deceits and Gulfs of Tonkin all over again, that Condoleeza Rice is working up to. I hope not. I hope it's just sulking over the military's hatred of him, and of China and Russia's "No" on the fun and games in Iran.

-----

Throw Diebold, ES&S and All election theft machines into 'Boston Harbor' NOW! --if you want your country back, or even if you just want simple decency back.

11. Question: Why would the war profiteering corporate news monopoly,
the Washington Post, do this to Rumsfeld? It is a hit piece. I can't think why. Really. Except that they want a more skilled, efficient Mideast war, not just these looters and whackjob Neo-Cons. They want serious killing. They hunger for Iran, and Syria. They want these places and others surgically nuked, to preserve oil and other resources. And they need a fresh face, and somebody with more political capital, finesse, and organizational competence/loyalty, to get it done.

There is no GOOD reason that I can think of, that the Washington Post would jab at Rumsfeld this way. They and the NYT helped put these criminals in office, and helped them instigate the Mideast war. So, why would they turn on them now--except to further the war agenda?

frog licking, cowardly, pieces of evil, sick, trash---our leaders are.

I just can't take the arrogance.

What does piece of shit Rumsfeld have to be ARROGANT about? He's failed. Fucking miserably!!

Rumsfeld, should be down on his knees---apologizing, explaining, and kow towing to EVERY reporter and EVERY American. We deserve answers!!!

That BASTARD!!!!

Ten seconds of silence. Going for the DRAMATIC PAUSE, eh, Rumfuck? Ohhhhhhh...how impressed we all are...how intimidating you are! What big boy you are!

You're fucking ACCOUNTABLE to AMERICAN, you sick, twisted fuckwit!!!

It was a legitimate question with a legitimate point.

AND YOU FUCKING KNOW IT!!!

I can't stand these no-good thugs. They're sick, classless thugs and I am so tired of them
representing MY AMERICA!

sorry for the swearing. I have to keep it together when in real life. Such is the life of a quiet, unassuming, suburban soccer mom, and sometimes the anger builds up.

FUCKING BASTARDS!!!

type of leadership. Hey asshole you're the secretary of war so you don't get to act bored.
