National Anthem in Spanish
Shouldnt the American National Anthem be sung in the Native American Language.

Everytime our National sports team plays, they sing our anthem in Maori (our native Language) and then in English.

1. Criminy. Most people barely mouth the words properly in English.
It's going to be a bitch to have to learn to lip sing in another language too.

3. Yes, we should all learn the native America language if we love
this country.

Dean was exactly right on MSNBC...it's a friggen' distraction because everything else the Repuiblican majority is doing is turning to shit. So lets talk about what language we sing the anthem in.

8. Even though our fearless leader advocates singing it in the language
he can't even speak.

4. I'd rather hear it in Spanish than the way Roseann Barr sang it!

5. If someone loves this country and wants to sing this song from their heart
regardless of what language they do it in, then they should be allowed to do it.

It's the meaning behind it, not the language that should matter.

7. Mexican Version
I was taught the first line of how the Mexicans sing the national anthem last year

"Jose can you see"
Then on and on with the rest of the tune

9. Did the Tribe of Nations ever decide on a national anthem?
We should sing it in its native Apache.

10. it's just more stupidity
by the people who think $100.00 tax rebate (think next April or May) is going to make you thrilled that you're paying 55-67 bucks a fillup. I heard someone translated the national anthem into spanish. Is there some big movement on to sing it in Spanish??? No...someone just translated and sang the song. It might help some Americans to remember the words if they heard it in another language. I hate these ignoramuses. There are so many problems in this country and our repug congress is worried about gay marriage and flag burning. Now they have a new crusade.

11. I think it should be sung in Athabascan.
Or Inupiaq. Whoever made it over the land bridge first (bit of a rivalry there. Athabascan is easier to learn.

12. Good point
Though there are many American Indian languages. I suppose it could be a regional thing. In Minnesota we could alternate singing it in Ojibwe and Dakota.

I suppose, in honor of the code talkers, we could just settle on using Navajo everywhere.
