Spoke to my republican 1st cousin for an hour
Rove must send out an audio of the weekly mantras. He said exactly what we have heard hundreds of times.
Saddam was a bad man
America/World is better off it he's gone
The end justifies the means
If we have to give up some rights to be safer, that's ok
Etc, Etc, Etc

BTW He wants Guiliani not McCain. "He has proven his strength on 9-11"( Lives in NY) He is a social liberal and a fiscal conservative

1. I want Rudy too
or Pataki (who I think would be more beatable)...
Neither would take NY from Kerry , Gore, or Clinton, (or Wes Clark).

6. They find it so easy
to dismiss the money spent. HE didn't serve in VietNam and 2 of his 3 sons are of age to be drafted but WE DON'T have a draft.

13. Heh - that's MY TAKE of what Rudy was really thinking when he campaigned
for Bush and would say his first thought after 9-11 was "Thank God Bush is president."

I am quite sure mine is an accurate read of the truth inside Rudy's head.

15. True enough
Rudy would never be a major contender for the Presidency if it were not for 9-11. He has a better chance than Pataki

7. Ask your cousin if he approves of Rudy's extra-marital affairs
Edited on Tue Apr-25-06 02:09 PM by npincus
when he was NYC mayor... since the GOP is the self-righteous 'party of morality'. He used to go shopping w/one girlfriend on weekends, and squired his current wife, Judith Nathan, about town while married to Donna Hanover. In fact, I believe Guiliani had Thanksgiving dinner with his lover and her daughter, and not his wife and 2 kids... all GOSSIP, mind you. But nothing compared to the sh*t thrown at Clinton.

9. That's exactly what I was gonna say. The dems aught to be able
to put out a mantra about family values and infidelity that the repukes can't get rid of!

12. Ohhhhhh I heard about the Clinton BJ
but in the end they vote the way see the world and all the facts will not change this. He wouldn't even consider Wes Clark so 'strong military' was not the issue.

14. Guess how he told Donna (his then-wife) that he was seeking a separation?
Through a press conference.

That's right, the first time she heard about it was on the TV. He called a press conference to announce their separation before telling her about it.

8. give up our rights to be safer?
Edited on Tue Apr-25-06 02:14 PM by m_welby
Do you know what I say to people who tell me:

"If we have to give up some rights to be safer, that's ok"

I call them cowards! That's what they are cowards. They would gladly throw away everything this country was founded upon and has stood for since 1776 for a little 'safety'.

I tell them I'd gladly give my life to protect the freedom of the nation rather than cower like a child behind the skirts of 'mommy' (government) because of some bully.

Sorry, that crap really ticks me off.

Republicans are cowards.

11. Ask him what he thought of Guiliani when he blamed the troops...
....for missing explosives in Iraq.
