Joining Illinois, California has become the second state in which a proposal to impeach President Bush has been introduced in the state legislature. And this one includes Cheney as well.

12. I'm in CA and I was wondering what the Hell took us so long.
CA is usually one of the trend setters, so we were a little slow with this, but we're in there now. Probably a lot of credit should go to those young people who blocked the dimson up in Northern CA. Good job, kids; look what ya done.:toast:

8. Can someone explain how this works
How do states initiate impeachment proceedings?
Does just one state need to do it? So they do... then what?

13. And it's MY state assemblyman, Paul Koretz, who's introducing it.
YOWZA! He earned his salary again today, but then again, he's been pretty damned good just on general principles. He's being term-limited out this year, though. :(

16. I totally believe
we're only one more seismic event away from Republicans going to him and telling him to resign.

They're standing on the second story of a vacant lot right now and they know it. One more whistleblower with a deusy will do it.
