2. Incredibly ignorant RW blond bimbette from Nebraska
blaming Dems, EPA et al for the gas crisis! What an ass.

"Dems love to create a problem then offer a solution." Huh?

5. Assinine statement from David Gregory:
"Analyists tell me that Democrats didn't do anything when they were in power and gas prices were at these levels."

Huh? When did gas rise to $3.50 a gallon when Dems were "in power."

And Marty Meecham has a lame answer.

8. Yeah - What did Clinton do - Oh he sent his energy secretary
Edited on Mon Apr-24-06 04:28 PM by RamboLiberal
to jawbone OPEC countries. And he provided money for poor suffering from "high energy prices" of a whole $30 a barrel - hell we'd be :bounce: if it was that price now.

<snip>

At a news conference Wednesday, President Clinton announced that he had released $125 million in federal funds to help poor families pay energy bills.

PRESIDENT CLINTON: In the Northeast the impact has been particularly harsh because from the mid-Atlantic states to New England, many families still rely on home heating oil-- a source of heating no longer used in the rest of the country. These families have been especially hard-hit. That is a serious concern, especially because the winter months have been colder this year than in the past few years

GWEN IFILL: Energy Secretary Bill Richardson admitted today the spike in oil prices caught the administration off guard.

BILL RICHARDSON: Everybody was caught napping. Nobody predicted what would happen. But it's not that we didn't have a response. We have a response, but at the same time we don't intervene, the government doesn't intervene in fuel prices and in oil markets.

GWEN IFILL: President Clinton has dispatched Richardson to meet with the leaders of oil- producing nations Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

11. I paid $.87 per gallon for my home heating oil when Clinton was Pres
I went back and reviewed all of my records recently and found that my home heating oil bills were the cheapest under Carter and Clinton and of course astronomical under Bush Jr. Gregory should be ashamed for trying to justify the current situation by saying that Clinton didn't do anything about it either.

9. Yes. I saw him on Imus last week; he had a tiny cancerous lesion
removed; said it was tricky because it was near his eye ball, but he's fine.

7. They need a "dump" button
All the repubes are trained to "eat the clock", and take 500 words to make a 5 word point..and the dems usually sit back being polite, and do not interrupt enough..I hate it when people interrupt each other, but iin this one case, I wish they would do it more often..

if you watch these screaming head shows, you will notice that the republican is NEVER shy about interrupting, but most of the dems just wait to "take their turn"..and rarely get to make their point before they "run out of time"..:grr:

13. yeah....watching rerun...what the FFFFF happened to Gregory?
he was letting Molinari say the most outrageous things without any refutation, and let her out talk McMahon by about three to one

very disappointing

now he and Mike Allen are agreeing that there's very little the president can do about high gas prices!

contradict yourself much, Dave?

what an ASS
