Check out this WHOPPING lie from Cheney
Edited on Mon Apr-24-06 11:59 AM by VelmaD
I don't know if anyone posted about this when it happened...I just saw it quoted in an article today at this link:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060423/pl_nm/cheney_dc_2

The article is about the LA Times editorial over the weekend calling for Cheney's retirement. It included this quote from a Cheney appearance on "Face the Nation" back in March:
"I didn't ask for this job. I didn't campaign for it. I got drafted" :wtf:

Ok, have we fallen down the memory hole or what? I seem to recall back in 2000 Cheney was put in charge of finding a VP candidate for Georgie-boy and, surprise surprise, he decided to pick himself.

Then again, what the hell would Cheney know about being drafted? :eyes:

19. It's not like it's a secret or anything....
Time magazine and lots of other publications printed articles about how Cheney chose himself as the real president, and picked Bush as Storefront mannequin.

This was written about long ago.

The stupid creep is either too smug to care, or his pacemaker will short-circuit if he starts telling the truth.:smoke:

5. Oh my. I bet he believes it too. He's quite mad. Poor lunatic.
I wish all politicians had to publish MRIs of their brains. I think especially Bush, Cheney and Rumsfelds MRIs would be most interesting.

6. Technically not a lie, he drafted himself & there isn't any one
to ask if you ask yourself. He's nothing but a shithead.

7. what kind of excuse is that anyway?
If he'd had other priorities, he could have just gotten some girl pregnant and gotten a deferment. Also he did not have to campaign for it, he could have let Lieberman take the job like most of America wanted.

9. Haaaaaaaaaaa! Thx for the reminder. I had forgotten how
he came to be VP. Of course, he tried to make us think it was all shrubs decision.

(Funny, I don't think shrub has made one decision since taking office except the decision not to take action...on many things)

11. He is the key person behind PNAC. PNAC arranged for the thefts to
guarantee Republicans. PNAC selected George, but Cheney was to run it all with Rumsfeld and other PNAC members with the support of the barons, Fed Society, media, and ceos with George delegated to fund raising and hand shaking (and shaking body stupid jokes). The hunt for a VP was a pretext to show that they were acting normally. SHAM. Sham = lie.

12. And that was after he had personally vetted all the top contenders
I always think the reason they did that was so that they would have the dirt on every one else and then put Cheney in the VP spot. I remember there was quite a few people that they vetted and those people always defended * and Cheney.

15. A little reference never hurt anyone
Cheney, who has spent the past several weeks conducting Bush's search for a running mate, emerged as the front-runner for the position late Friday. An announcement was expected Tuesday in Austin, but the governor's top aides cautioned Monday that nothing is definite until Bush says it's definite.

17. too bad he couldn't have gotten 5 deferments
these people are out of control with the lieing. No one calls them on it and if they do no one seems to connect the dots that EVERYTHING they say is a lie.
