One of Bush's dumber statements
Posted on Yahoo http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20060423/bs_afp/uspoliticsoil_060423025355 is this earth shattering statement from our president:

"The American people have to understand what happens elsewhere in the world affects the price of gasoline you pay here."

Do you think he's aware of the fact that HE affects what HAPPENS around the world.....Hughes, Rove SOMEBODY tether him down and draw pictures to explain things!

(This is my first post so if I screwed up on the link process (I copied and pasted) tell me how to do it correctly!)

4. Oh, you mean the fact that you made a grab for Iraq's oil, botched it...
...and therefore left OPEC emboldened to set whatever price it wants, Mr. "President"?

He always talks down to people in his statements, maybe because he's just aping the the exact tone in which these things are explained to him.

6. You can always tell, can't you. He feels the need to "explain to
the American people in a way they'll understand". How condescending and patronizing can you get.

8. Well, he knows many were stupid enough to vote for HIM.
I'd condescend, too---and do!

9. You know, if I had a fan base as stupid as Bush's fan base...
I'd probably talk to them as though they were idiots, too.

10. So what does that mean?
Would it help gas prices if I put a yellow ribbon on my car? Maybe he should consider the idea that HE affects gas prices more than any of us. He can affect positive change but so far he's only affecting this negatively.
