1. Dems have been calling for an 'energy summit' but no one is seriously
listening.

This is the best way for the average American to see what a thoroughly lousy job of leadership the Bush Administration is doing.
I don't think the average Joe or Josephine cares that much about Plame or the NSA scanddals..
but the average American knows when theyre getting gouged and thats whats happeneing now.
Remember the Enron scandal that only now, 5 years later is reallly being looked at? Bush refused to do anythin g about that either--refused to cap prices during a wwell established gouge that he and his helped set up.
This is the same thing: wealthy Bush contributors are gouging the public and Bush won't do a dam thing about it.
But it REALLY shows what a lousy job theyre doing.
ARE YOU BETTER OFF THAN YOU WERE 5 YEARS AGO?? Not unless youre wealthy!!
Thats what Democrats need to keep asking

3. We don't even know who was involved in Cheney Energy task force
For all we know this is what their plan was from the beginning.

4. Cheney's secret energy meetings.
We are seeing the effects of allowing crooks to run the government in secret.

$3 / gallon where I live.

5. Cheney
One day, hopefully, the truth may come out on the proceedings of the meetings Cheney had with the oil barons. Even though I do not easily embrace conspiracy theories, I would bet that it went something along the lines of in order to give the oil companies a shot in the arm, we need to generate some instability in the middle east to raise the price of oil from $20.00 per barrel. And, the rest is history.
