VIDEO: 60 Minutes: A Spy Speaks Out
Ed Bradley reports on Tyler Drumheller, the former head of CIA covert operations in Europe, who has come forward to contradict the Bush Administration's claim that bad intelligence in the lead-up to the Iraq war were strictly the fault of the intelligence community. Joseph Wilson and Rocco Martino are also interviewed.

5. Excellent piece.
I'd say Drumheller correctly sized things up at the end when he spoke of how Iraq will serve as one of the biggest policy blunders ever for a US president.

9. This story is 3 years too late.
and this fat white agent is now singing...I give him some
credit for putting his job/life on the line but it's too
fucking late and this story smells like old garbage.

We knew this. Period.

14. The story is not three years too late. (Maybe the US media is.)
It's been told, many times, well before bush invaded Iraq.

You're certain the agent didn't try to "sing" before?

10. This is far more damning than Richard Clarke's or Paul O'neill's
revelations. This ties directly to the moment the trigger was pulled on Iraq. Drumheller stated the the CIA knew the Niger story was bullshit. The White House says "no comment" to a story they must respond to. Dan Bartlett drags out the old line about "everybody thought he had weapons". Drumheller states for the record that the only intelligence agency that matters did not support the crown jewel of the administration's justification for invasion. In a real democracy this would bring down a government.

19. Where are the investigations in our REPUBLICAN controlled Gov't?
Where is my senator, Senator Pat Roberts, Republican, Kansas?

Oh yea... He's the one who's been working overtime, driving the Earth Movers and Bull Dozers over BushCo's record of criminal activity. Poor guy, he says he is just so overworked, even though he is the one who gladly accepted covering up the facts of BushCo's criminal activity. Shrub screwed him into cleaning up his mess, and Pat whines and cries about how much 'hard work' was involved.

Wonder if Pat will get lucky, and become a millionaire off of public service, like Bob Dole did?
