3. thank you sfexpat!

And you are right about how good it was you didn't have to call on FEMA

(snip)

Mississippi Emergency Management Agency records show that as of Dec. 11 there were 84,494 people living in FEMA trailers in 13 Mississippi counties. That's 31,294 trailers multiplied by the average family size of 2.7 people.

Barbour sent FEMA a letter Dec. 5 asking the agency to add another year to the time Mississippians will be allowed to live in trailers issued after Katrina. Barbour says a shortage of permanent housing makes it impossible for most people living in FEMA trailers to move out before the current deadline of Feb. 28.

5. What are they going to do
toss all 81000 of us out in the streets?

They will extend it, it's a given. They are just using the "threat and reprieve" to give the repub gov political clout. :silly:

Thanks for the invite though

it's that puppy stage you don't like -- she is your comfort and your laughter and that unconditional love you need.

don't let the earth shake you off and I must decline your previous invite to share space, with my luck, if I moved California would fall off into the ocean. disaster and me are like this *fingerscrossed* :silly:

13. Sorry to be so slow. But, I must brag, I did bake 6 kinds of cookies
this year, some sweet bread and some candy.

No fire department personnel were hurt in the making of these products.

15. God Jul, mogster! What will you be doing this holiday?
Edited on Sun Dec-24-06 04:15 PM by sfexpat2000
Tonight, I have to finish up some cooking so today, I am not doing many things in order that my night will be more interesting.

Tomorrow, against my better judgement, I'm cooking for the family; ham and lamb (not together or touching!) some side thingies and a new recipe for stuffed mushrooms. Someone else is bringing the sweets for later. So far, the new puppy hasn't eaten anything unfortunate but I haven't lost hope.

For his birthday tomorrow, I'm giving the soon to be ex Mr. sfexpat the rest of his things (they are in the cellar and now I have help with that), am dropping two lawsuits and wishing him well. I thought he'd like that.

My favorite thing that I bought for anyone was a funny metal and bead peace bird mobile that I'm insinuating into my brother's house and the Dalai Lama's book for my mom.

I didn't get my cards out although I tried mightily. Hell, I might just mail them late:

MERRY DAMN CHRISTMAS, LATE

That's my update.

Thank you, mogster, for everything.

:hi:
