Do-it-yourself fireplace starter logs

I made these up, so any improvements/suggestions/criticisms are welcome.

I took a medium size brown paper bag from the grocery store (I quit asking for plastic).
I lined it on the sides with newspapers and then filled the inside with dried leaves and pinecones.
I then placed it in the fireplace and put a well-seasoned log on top.

Worked great!
