3. Been feeling this way since first win over Rams
There was a quiet confidence with this team this year from the outset. NO way could I have predicted this team to have accomplished so much at this point. Today they barely squeaked out a win over the Giants. They are 9 and 2 for the season and NFC leaders.
That said I sense some problems. Last week against the 49ers they struggled. Even though they won against this team the game remained in doubt until the last few moments. The Seahawks have more than enough talent to have prevented this from happening. My impression then was "uh-oh, these guys have lost confidence somewhere." This has been a standard problem in every Seahawk team in my memory.

Tonight they beat the Giants. Truth be told, I would say the Giants had a hand in beating the Giants. Yes the fans played a part in causing those 12 false starts by the Giants, but their field goal kicker should have had our number. He let them down. Eli Manning Tiki Barber and Jeromy Shockey had us dead to rights. Just about every time our Defense got the Giants into a third and long, one of those 3 saved the day for them.

I do not know what our third down conversion stats looked like but I suspect that they have been greatly reduced over the last 2 weeks.
Our confidence was down again this game. Perhaps this win will bring back the Seahawks confidence, if so they actually do have the tools to be a contender in the Super-bowl. If this lack of confidence continues then they will be forced to rely, like they did today, on our opponents inability to take advantage of us.

The Seahawks are better than that. I hope Coach Holmgren has a solution to this. Unlike most teams at this point we are not so plagued by major injuries. We should be just fine, not struggling.
I suspect Matt Hasselbeck knows exactly what I am talking about. I sense this confidence breakdown is coming from him.

That is my 3 cents worth on my fave team after tonights win. We have never been 9 and 2. Nor have we ever had the likes of a Sean Alexander. I am happy for us, and yet worried too.

4. Can you say Monday Night Football
Wowsers... who'da thunk that would happen. "Are the Hawks THAT good or are the Eagles that bad?"...this question asked by John Madden just after half time....I say there is a bit of both here.

My hat's off to the once proud Eagles,:patriot:
It is sad to watch what this season has turned into for you.

7. And again against the 49ers
This is not the same SF team that Joe Montana or Steve Young played on....
Next are the Titans! Keep going Hawks!

10. Collision Course
13-1 Indy vs. 12-2 Seattle.

In a loud and soggy Qwest Field.

It's gonna be a FUN Xmas eve! Too bad the Colts are likely to rest their guys. Of course Seattle is missing more than half their defensive secondary so I guess that'll even things out.

11. One thing we learned on Sunday and Monday
Seattle I hope is looking at the game tapes from the Chargers-Colts game and was looking at MNF last night.

Seattle can potentially have 12 wins in a row.

12. Well, the game was kind of emotionally vacant
But I thought Seattle showed quite well.

They were expected to soundly defeat an Indy team that was taking it easy, and they did.

No pressure next week, but 14-2 would look DAMN good.

How great is Matt Hasselbeck playing? In the last 3 games I've got his numbers at 59 of 73, 679 yds with 9 TD and 1 interception. Whoa!
