...and basically saved our bacon when the defense broke down completely at the start of the second half and gave up a couple of goals in less than two minutes.

Ljungberg, while not the captain of the Sounders (that title was awarded to GK Kasey Keller), is pretty much the unofficial co-captain of the side. Although he's played at midfielder most of the season, we've had good results from putting him up top with Fredy Montero, an offensive alignment known around here as the "Freddayin." ;-)
