1. Rushie playing at 43?
Actually he looked pretty good in the Masters this week-end. For those that don't know, The Masters, is a 6 a-side indoor tournament of 'legends' (ie: only players over 35 can play) and Liverpool won it (they beat Sheffield Wednesday on penalties in the Final), as they have often done in recent years.

The Liverpool side included Alan Kennedy, John Wark, Ian Rush, Nigel Spackman, Michael Thomas, and John Aldridge (a particular favourite of mine since he used to play for my team, Newport County!).

In other Anfield news (there DO seem to be a lot of Liverpool fans in this group) TNS have confirmed that they will be playing their second leg Champions League tie with Liverpool at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground.

Also, Villareal's goalkeeper Jose Reina is in Liverpool today and is expected to sign shortly. Chris Kirkland is to join West Brom on a season-long loan, and European Cup hero Jerzy Dudek is supergluing himself to the 'This is Anfield' sign and refusing to leave the club.

2. Jerzy would be an exceptional backup...
and I'm sad to see him go after the spaghetti legs in the final and the Sheva save... but we could get a fair bit for him, and Reina is quite good. I dunno.
