It is because of the waitresses’ naughty nurse uniforms.

The waitresses wear skimpy, cleavage-baring outfits, high heels and thigh-high stockings — a male fantasy that some nursing organizations say is an insult to the profession.

2. Yeah, that was pretty gut wrenching.

The pig who owns the restaurant was far worse, though. I guess he's never been assaulted because he's been on his way home at night in a white uniform, AKA perv magnet.

Attractive young nurses wear scrubs, or some variation where I work. As do those who would be considered not so attractive, or too "old" to be attractive. They also work hard as hell and don't deserve this stereotyping in any fucking way. Pisses me off.

I read through that article, and all I could think of was the incredibly edematous scrotum's our post-surgical males are subject to. Nearly the size of small watermelons, some of them. Especially our liver transplants. The LAST thing on their mind, most of them is cleavage, legs or sex. I feel so bad for them-- hurts like hell and only proper medical management, time, and usually scrotal shrinker's helps. You should see the sores they can get.

That's reality, the penis pulled in so far in edema you can barely see it, and "naughty nurses"--female or male-- having to pull up that scrotum so it doesn't develop those sores. Not sexy at all. Wonder why that's what popped in my head?

This bullshit not only insults nurses and women, but encourages dumb ass thinking as far as health care in general. What the fuck to people think happens after surgery? During sickness? Eat enough of those burgers and you end can up on my unit with a variety of ills, surgeries, usually on telemetry. Subject to resistant hospital infections.

This one requires a letter I think.

5. The comment from the waitress at the end perturbs me

Courtney Chapman, a 20-year-old waitress at the grill, said she found nothing wrong with the uniform or the stares she gets.

“They definitely look at us, but they’re guys,” she said. “If our butts are coming out the bottom of our skirts, and our boobs are coming out the top of our shirts, we’re kind of asking for it.”

My immediate response to that would be that just because she thinks she's asking for it, doesn't mean the rest of us are, regardless of how we are attired. It bugs me that she's not only too willing to trade on her physical assets, but that she subscribes unquestioningly to the boys will be boys paradigm.

No Courtney, guys are not born that way. They are taught to be that way, partly from going to places like the Heart Attack Grill, where the women are served up to them like side dishes.
