Well, I think that it's quite INnoble of Bush to tell a society that their sons and daughters are fighting for a "noble cause" and ultimately dying for it. There is nothing NOBLE about attacking a country whose weapons we made SURE were destroyed before we invaded. There is nothing 'noble' about occupying a sovereign nation that was never a threat to us. There is nothing 'noble' about wreaking not only havock upon a civilization, but havock upon ageless historical and archaelogical ruins--not that belonged to the Iraqi's, but the WHOLE of mankind.
There is nothing 'noble' about allowing libraries, museums, and historical sites to be looted because we couldn't afford proper protection, yet we made sure we were able to protect the oil fields.
THere is nothing noble about dying in vain. And that is what every soldier who has died, and every Iraqi who has died has died for--NOTHING. Greed. Profit. Industry. Global Domination. Nothing noble about that.
Now, I'm not bashing the troops at all. They are fulfilling their obilgation and honestly, I wouldn't do it if I were in their shoes. I could not ever quantify killing another person in any situation save for a very few, special situations. I'd much rather die myself than to kill a child, or a man, or a woman who posed no threat to me other than being born in the wrong country.
I find his "noble cause" platitudes to be as emtpy as his head. What the FUCK would he know about noble causes? He's not done a noble thing in his bastardly worthless life. Everything for him has been about greed and power and nothing more. He wouldn't know noble if it slapped him in his roseola fucking face.
He's not even had the fucking GONADS to visit a soldier's funeral. THAT would be a noble cause--to show your stinking fucking ass at a funeral and have to LOOK into the eyes of the mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, wives, husbands, and children of those who died for his profits. But he can't do that.
If he ever put his life on the line for ANYTHING---ANYTHING, then perhaps, perhaps he could speak about noble causes.
As it is, him speaking about noble causes is like me speaking about the joy I felt as I walked on Mars for the first time. Complete lie based on no realisitic facts.
