5. Amazing. How I wish I had had some of those resouces when I felt like

such a freak in society as a young woman. (Did not feel that way among those close to me (mom and dad and husband). Thank goodness. That is probably what kept me from going bonkers.)The lucky young rebels/nonconformists of today can connect with others all over this nation and do not have to rely on the closed minded mind set of those little toads around them. This is GREAT!!!

However, alarcoeg did respond in another thread that he probably worded the thread title poorly and he was trying to speak more to helping women not go for the real assholes. I know I misunderstood him on that particular subject.

But yes, there are LOTS of guys who post that stuff and whom we have all encountered in life. Being a doormat goes both ways and "nice" is extemely relative.

10. Oh I know and I didn't mean it as a reprimand,

I meant it as a real answer, although it IS more about why we supposedly don't like "nice guys" more than why we supposedly *do* like "bad boys."

Anyway, I think the "nice guys/bad boys" is a talking point around here lately for some reason and thought that this blogger did an excellent job of answering the question. She did it with enough humor and enough "chutzpah" that I think it really should be read by anyone legitimately asking the question.

All over the feminist blogosphere the past few days. Great fun to read and a lot of these folks are realing nailing it. The myth of "women just don't like nice guys" needs to be put to rest once and for all.
