Anyone experiment with white kidney bean supplements?
They are sold as a nutritional supplement labeled "Phase 2."

I was thinking of trying this to see what happens. My SO and I eat out a lot and I have a very hard time staying way from the no no foods for me: chips, potatoes, bread, etc. I was thinking this might help when I go out.

If you want the science, here it is:

1. Scored some at the drug store
tonight.

High probability I will get to try it out this weekend. We'll see what happens.

2. Took the first dose with breakfast
Since I had extra bread here (that the SO bought and so kindly left for me. :grr: ) to go with my eggs and coffee.

According to the instructions, you take two capsules about 15 minutes before the meal.

3. 2nd dose at lunch

I ate pickles and a small bag of potato chips.

No, I don't recommend eating potato chips, but I figured, why not put them to the test.

Will try to just have protein and starch-free veggies at dinner. :-)

5. What I hope to find
Is that I would not have gained weight over the few meals I have to do this. I don't know if that's true or not, but I'm willing to find out.

I do well enough following my own meal plan at home by myself. It's only going out that trips me up.

When I eat things that are not on my list, it is glaringly obvious when I step on the scale. A 3-4 lb weight gain after one meal is not unheard of.
